Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using the app's private storage. You have full control at all times.

Export & Import — Readify lets you back up or restore your library as a JSON file. This is entirely optional and performed by you directly. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the Google Books API to provide book search suggestions when you add a new book.

  • When you search for a title, your query is sent to Google Books.
  • We do not store, log, or track these search queries.
  • Suggestions are optional — the app works fully without them.

Notifications

Readify may send local device notifications to remind you to maintain your reading streak.

  • Notifications are generated on-device by the Android system.
  • No personal data is transmitted externally to trigger them.
  • You can disable notifications from the app's Settings or your device settings.

Readify is suitable for general audiences of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect any data from children or any other users. Because no personal data is collected, there are no special considerations required for children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR).
